Our Focus on Equity
The County’s commitment to equity extends to our employees, non-profit and private sector partners, and members of the community.
G.A.R.E (Government Alliance on Race and Equity)
The County of Marin participates in G.A.R.E., a network of government agencies working to achieve racial equity and advance opportunities for all. Initiatives developed by G.A.R.E. team members have included structural racism training for County employees and a Racial Equity Action Plan which was adopted by the Board of Supervisors in April 2017.
